Investigative Roundtable - 2010

Virginia Beach, Virginia

September 12-16, 2010

The 26th Annual Investigative Roundtable On Organized Crime Conference is set for September 12-16, 2010, at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center (www.virginiabeachresort.com). Space is limited to the first 200 registrants. Early registration is encouraged. The Conference will open on Monday, September 13, 2010. Conference registration runs from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 12. Registration will reopen at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, and will be offered again beginning at 7:45 a.m. on Monday.

We bring you a four-day program, which includes presenters of the highest caliber. DCJS approves all conference training, and you should receive at least 20 hours of in-service training credit as a result of your conference attendance. Each day, a Continental breakfast and information sharing opportunities are offered.

The conference program will focus on the various forms of Organized Crime. While our attention has been diverted to terrorism, organized crime has grown and prospered. The need to share information has grown proportionately. Illegal activities have taken full advantage of the diversions created by 9/11. We need to readjust our way of thinking and get back to the basics.

The need to share information continues and is increasingly dependent upon our continued cooperation and partnership. Information sharing provides an invaluable framework for evaluating all manner of threats and provides methods for addressing them. Organized crime, in its many forms, continues to thrive because it preys on our weaknesses. We must continually work together to ensure that we present and maintain a strong, united front. This is our opportunity to do our part.
