MONTGOMERY VILLAGE ART SHOW AND SALE October 21 & 22, 2017

CALENDAR:

Monday, October 2nd: This form and entry fee is due – SEE MAILING INSTRUCTIONS BELOW

v  Saturday, October 21: 9:00am - Set up art work. Panels will already be set up in Village Courtyard

v  Saturday, October 21: Show open from 10 am – 5pm

v  Saturday, October 21: 5 pm - Take down and store art in designated space (TBD) or possibly in your car

v  Sunday, October 22: 10:00 am - Put back artwork in assigned spaces

v  Sunday, October 22: 11:00 am - 5:00 pm Show open – 5 pm take down art work

This show is available to WASCO Members and selected guests. There are 19 spaces available to artists on a first received, first accepted basis.

·  Entry fee is $30.00. This covers two WASCO-supplied peg board V-shaped panels, front and back (equals four 4’x4’ panels) for framed work. Artists may bring one print bin to place inside the V-panel or next to it, a small table and card rack (table must be covered to the ground). Two (only two) artists can share a V-panel but only one print bin will be allowed. (If you plan to share, please send only one check for $30.00 indicating both artists names on the entry form). Artists can replace any sold work with another painting. Also, you can sell small crafts that you have made and supply your own display table. Bring a chair and an umbrella if desired. Montgomery Village has a limited number of umbrellas, but they often use them in other parts of the Village, so we cannot count on their availability for our show.

·  Artists will hang their own work, WASCO will supply the hooks. Artwork must be hung attractively with space between works. No artwork is to be on the ground. WASCO Exhibit Committee will have final say on how artwork is displayed.

·  No commission is taken from artwork sales at this show. A sales table will be made available by WASCO members during both days (for Visa or Master Card charges) and the artist will receive a check for the amount of the sale LESS TAX. Artists can do their own sales if they wish, but must collect and pay tax on your own.

·  Title cards with artist's name, address, phone number and title of the painting must be attached or placed next to each piece of artwork (originals and prints). Artists will provide their own title cards. These cards can be placed using hold-it putty or masking tape (NO double-sided tape is allowed).

·  Name signs for each artist will be provided by WASCO and attached to the panels by 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

Artists must stay with their work on both days and have their work available both days. As always, no nudes, political or social commentary, or religious art will be allowed in this show.
