Sports day - This year the PTFA will be selling hot and cold drinks and raffle tickets on sports day. Don’t forget to send your child to school in there PE kit on sports day- Thursday 30th June.

Sunawareness - Now that summer is finally here please put sun cream on your child in the mornings and if possible send them in a sun hat.

Wesham’s Got Talent 2016 - Semi Final:Thursday 30th June and Friday and 1stJuly. Mrs Panther will judge the acts to go through to the final. Children who have been told by their teacher that they have got through to Wesham’s got talent semi-final can rehearse with Mrs Panther on Monday after school in her classroom if they wish to from 3.20-4.15pm. The Grand Final:- Thursday July 7th2016 5:30 pm

Health Week:

Next week is our annual Health Week in school, with lots of exciting workshops and activities planned for the children all about keeping healthy.

Some of the events planned are:

Visits from the School Nurses, to teach us about various health related topics including sun safety, hand hygiene and dental hygiene. Sponsored Staff fitness week if anyone would like to contribute to our chosen charities the teachers will be taking part in a variety of fitness activities after school and at lunchtime – led by Miss Brown our very own Personal Trainer! All donations to the school office please.

Monday: 2:45 – 3:45pm School Nurse ‘Parent Drop In’ session. Please come and ask the experts for advice on such things as dental health, head lice, sleep issues and other health related topics. No need to book! Just Drop in!

Tuesday: - ‘Circuit Training’ for the Junior Classes with Miss Brown.

School Council will be making and selling fruit kebabs as a healthy play time snack. They will be sharing their ideas with the school in Worship on Monday as a launch to our Health Week. Fruit Kebabs are 50p each and will be sold at breaktime.

Wednesday: - All children can dress up in a sports kit for 50p donation and sponsored ‘Five Hours of Football’ all day on the field classes competing in matches.

Thursday: - YMCA fitness team are in school in the morning.

The afternoon is Sports Day at 1:15pm to celebrate how fit and healthy we are and compete for our house teams.

Friday: - Karate workshops for the infant classes by Miss Brown.

Heartbeat Charity Work shops all day.

We are all looking forward to a fun filled fitness week all about healthy living.
