PRESS RELEASE:Swiss Game Start-ups win placements on the Ludicious Business Accelerator 2018
Eight innovative Swiss game studios with exciting new game projects have been selected to participate in the 2018 Ludicious Business Accelerator, a special business development program catering specifically for start-ups across Switzerland.
First introduced at Ludicious in 2016, the Ludicious Business Accelerator program is supported by Engagement Migros and provides the chosen projectsan important business training experience. Teams are instructed on project pitching and packaging by leading business coaches and industry experts before being introduced to specially invited industry guests during the festival in January 2018. They will pitch their projects to a live audience, and exhibit their games to industry and to the public.
The selected projects for the Business Accelerator are:

- «Devader» by Falkenbrew, Zürich area
- «HanaHana» by Mélodie Mousset, Zurich
- «Infinite Dust» by Kiwi Studio, Lausanne
- «Letters» by 5am Games, Zurich
- «Matter» by Fragmentin, Lausanne
- «Spher» byMyléne Dreyer, Neuchatel
The jury was comprised of the following:

Michael Reaney, Managing Director at Ludicious – Zürich Game Festival
Tobias Kopka, Artistic and Conference Director at Ludicious – Zürich Game Festival
Projects were evaluated in terms of their gameplay, commercial potential, the clarity of the teams’ business goals, and suitability for exhibition at the Ludicious Festival in Zürich in January. The jury were impressed by the standards of submissions and eventually agreed on eight games that have exceptional potential. Chris Bergstresser, President of SEGA Europe and also President of Ludicious – Zürich Game Festival said:
“The submissions were really fantastic this year. Now these eight selectedprojectsjoin the Engagement Migros Match-Making program; a personalized one-to-one service. We make sure their talents are connected to the relevant international industry representatives to create real opportunities for development and investment. This program is therefore an essential component of building a sustainable Game sector in Switzerland and has already created several success stories.”
The program takes place at the Ludicious Festival, January 18thto 21st,2018 at the Zeughausareal, Zürich. Conference passes and Students Conference passes are available at an Early Bird rate until November 30th, 2017 atludicious.ch/tickets.
