ECB Coach Support Worker
The course consists of two 3 hour modules:
- Simple laws of the game
- Safety and Risk Assessment
- Organising warm ups and cool downs
- Roles and responsibilities
- Working relationships with coaches
- Planning
- Setting up drills and practices
Who Should Attend?
Individuals wishing to assist under the direct supervision of ECB qualified coaches in the delivery of high quality practical cricket coaching sessions within a club environment. Candidates must be 16 to attend the course and 17 to be assessed.
What does it allow the support worker to do?
- Assist in the delivery of practical coaching sessions normally under the direct supervision of an ECB qualified coach.
- It is an assisting and capacity building role designed to support high quality coaching sessions.
- It does not qualify candidates to coach and should be viewed as an introduction to the pathway towards becoming a coach.
Commitment
Coaches will be required to attend 2 x 3 Hour modules.
Pre-requisites for Certification
Current CRB, Successful completion of the online Safeguarding Young Cricketers module, Aged 16 years at least to begin the course.
ECB Certificate in Coaching Young People and Adults’ Cricket
(UKCC Level 2)
Coaching young people and adults is a challenging and enormously rewarding role within the coaching pathway. Players need expertise, support and passion at every level of their development; this course is designed with your player’s needs at its core.
In turn, the experiences, tasks, practices and sharing of ideas which you experience during the course are designed to help equip you with the tools you need to meet your players’ needs. Just as players learn quickly, so do coaches. The challenge for all coaches is to learn as they develop, just as players do.
Who Should Attend?
Coaches who are going to Coach Young People and Adults in ‘Open Age’ Cricket.They may be new coaches, existing UKCC1/ECB Level 1 or Children’s coaches whowish to access ‘young person and adult specific’ content.
Commitment
Coaches will be required to attend 8 x 3 Hour Modules, complete ‘off-course’home-study ‘online E-modules’ tasks in between modules and six sessions ofsupported practice usually in your own Club Coaching environment.
Pre-requisites for Certification
Emergency First Aid Certificate, Safeguarding & Protecting Children Certificate,current CRB, aged 17 years at least to begin the course and 18 years at Assessment.

Applications will only be accepted if they are accompanied by the correct fee.
•CCL reserve the right to cancel any course which is not full.

Cancellation Policy
•If a candidate has their place confirmed on aCCL Coach Education Course and this candidate cancels their application within 14 days of the commencement of the course, the candidate may not be eligible for a refund (subject to CCL discretion).
•If a candidate fails to attend the course with no prior notice, then under no circumstances will this candidate receive a refund of any kind.
•If a candidate fails to complete the course and not receive certification, under no circumstances will this candidate receive a refund of any kind.
