Family Support Worker - ReachOut Men’s Services

Aviva is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to supporting New Zealand families to become their best, free from violence. As New Zealand’s first refuge, we provided a range of specialist family violence services to women and children for 40 years. Today, our work is founded on the belief that the safest place for all New Zealanders should be our homes and that everyone has the potential to overcome violence and its enduring effects if offered the right support, at the right time, in the right way. To this end, we now offer a range of integrated specialist family and sexual support services for the whole family – children, young people, women and men - and are seeking passionate and skilled people to join our team.

With our partners, Aviva co-founded and operates from The Loft in Eastgate Shopping Centre. The Loft brings together a range of Non-Government Organisations, primary healthcare providers and humanitarian agencies to create a ‘child, family and community wellbeing centre’ in eastern Christchurch. The Loft’s partners’ shared aim is to improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities by co-creating a co-located response model that simplifies client access through a range of integrated service pathways. The creation of a whole of person, whole of family/whanau approach to wellbeing, delivered from one shared space, has never been achieved before in Australasia, and offers a unique service proposition for Canterbury communities.

The Loft offers a unique contemporary working environment, designed to support clients and staff. There is access to Eastgate’s staff car parking, banking, retail and service outlets and Linwood Community Library and Service Centre.
