Merit Lists and First Round of Admission

The Merit Lists of the applicants who appeared for the Entrance Examination in May 2015 for admission to M.Sc. Mathematics Part-I in various courses at the University Departments are displayed on the notice boards of the respective Departments and University website The displayed lists contain the General Merit Numbers as well as respective Reserved Category Merit Numbers.

Any discrepancies in the merit lists should be brought to the notice of the concerned Head of the Department, in writing on or before 2.00p.m. On 7thJuly, 2015.

The First Round of Counseling-cum-Admission for following M.Sc. Mathematics Part-I courses will be conducted on 14thJuly, 2015. Candidates as per the following General Merit Numbers as well as Category Merit Numbers will be considered for First Round of Counseling-cum-Admission at the respective Departments.

All students called for the First Round of Counseling and Admission should report on the day, time and place specified below at the respective departments. No separate intimation will be sent to the students at any round.

1. / Only those students who are called and personally present on the day and time specified above will be considered for admission. The students called for admission round should note that the admission will be offered on merit and will be subject to availability of seats and their fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
2. / The students will also have to produce the receipt of payment of the fees for the Entrance Examination. Those who have not paid the Entrance Examination fees will not be considered for admission.
3. / Those students who are offered admission will have to submit original relevant certificates (including mark sheet) along with Xerox copies and collect their Admission Letter on the same day. The OBC/NT (B) NT(C)/NT (D) candidates will also have to submit Non Creamy layer certificate. They will have to make payment of the fees as prescribed in prospectus immediately thereafter.
4. / Students who take admission for one subject, but are eligible and interested in another subject can compete for admission in that subject in subsequent rounds. If admitted for new subject they will have to cancel their admission in earlier subject.
5. / Any seats remaining or falling vacant after the First Round of Admissions will be filled in during the Second Round of Admission, on 20th July, 2015. The merit numbers of the students called for the Second Round of Admission will be put up on the Website on 16th July, 2015 as already specified.
6. / In each round of admission the admissions for General Category seats will be done first, followed by admission for the reserve category seats.
7. / Inter conversion of reserved category seats and final conversation of any seats remaining vacant in any of the reserved category into General category will be done immediately after Third Round of Admission on the same day at the same time as per Govt./ University Rules. No Inter conversion of seats during First and Second Rounds.
8. / Other University seats will be filled only during the 3rd round of Admission.
Hostel Admission:-
The admitted students will be given Hostel Admission on merit as per the Hostel quota allotted to each dept., at the time of admission it self. All the female students admitted to the course, if in need of Hostel accommodation, will be given Hostel Admission at the time of admission itself.

* 3% reservation for physically handicapped students plus 10% reservation for ex-service personnel

Students Called for Admission at 1st round.

1) All handicapped Students from the admission merit list.

2)All Son/daughter/husband/wife of active military service personnel and ex-military Services personnel and
ex-service personnel himself from merit list.

Note : Original Markslist, Caste Certificate, Validity Certificate and Non- Creamy-layer Certificate (whenever necessary) is compulsory along attested xerox copy of each.

Important Note : Candidates with general merit nos. from 691 to 804 are requested to check their merit rank after considering the qualifying examination marks as indicated in final merit list(50% of Entrance Examination marks + 50% of T. Y. B. Sc. Mark) of Mathematics.The candidate should report to the Admission Committee between 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. If their merit rank is within the above called admission merits for respective categories then they should remain present at the time of admission dates mentioned above. No candidate will be entertained once the respective admission round is over.
