Actuator IC 20 with butterfly valve BVG
Kromschröder develops new actuator series
Osnabrück. G. Kromschröder AG has developed a new series of actuators. The first members of this series are the 3-point step actuator IC 20 with butterfly valves for air (BVA) and for gas (BVG).
The actuator IC 20 is designed to adjust the flow rate for modulating combustion processes and for all applications that require precise, controlled rotary movement between 0° and 90°. A control ratio of 1:10 can be achieved without any problem.
The low fire rate or ignition positions can be precisely adjusted on the IC 20 using switching cams. The high fire rate position can also being individually adjusted to suit the system specifications. A conductive plastic potentiometer is available to report as a guide to the position at all times.
The starting process for the actuator is facilitated by a standard automatic/manual switch, a position indicator and the infinitely adjustable switching cams. The generous terminal connection box makes for easy installation of the electrical cables.
The butterfly valves BVA and BVG feature low leakage rates and pressure losses. Other positive points include direct installation without adapters and the high holding torque of the actuator, which makes additional brake elements superfluous when the actuator is not connected to the power supply.
The high protection type IP 65 and the wide ambient temperature range from -20°C to +60°C mean that the actuator is suitable for a wide range of installations in sites with the toughest industrial environments.
The actuators IC 20 can be supplied with running times from 7 to 60 seconds and for voltages of 120 V AC and 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz. The butterfly valves are available in nominal sizes from DN 40 to 150.
The IC 20 is EC type-tested and certified under the Low Voltage and EMC Directives, the butterfly valve BVG is also EC type-tested and certified under the Gas Appliances Directive. The actuator IC 20 and the butterfly valves BVA and BVG are the first examples of the new actuator and butterfly series.
