Cartell is considered a small IT company, however, we handle several million XML data requests per month for thousands of Irish and a growing number of European customers. We are developing intelligent algorithms to analyse bulk data assisting our customers make solid business decisions. About the Role

Firstly you will need some Java experience (college project etc) and display a little familiarity with Linux/Unix platforms (we use Red Hat and Centos), Apache, MySQL or Tomcat. Experience with PHP and Python would also be considered useful. You will understand the web and have some interest in working with high availability environments.

You will display autodidactic qualities and have the passion to present new technology and solutions to the team. Most of what we do is pure R&D.

Candidates should have a third level qualification in a technical background with good written and spoken English. The successful candidates will work in a highly flexible manner, noting that such a role will require some unsocial hours from time to time.
