Recruiter/High School Coordinator
Job location: Altamaha Technical College, Jesup Campus
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university *and* experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: (In addition to the minimum qualifications) Admissions counseling and recruitment experience; Work experience in post-secondary education using a student information system such as BANNER.
Job Description:
Under general supervision, the recruiter/high school coordinator plans and implements student recruitment activities for Altamaha Technical College; assists prospective students with the admission and re-admission process; processes new student applications; assists state, secondary and post-secondary instructional leadership in the planning and development of career programs of study including articulation, dual, joint, and Accel enrollment opportunities that lead to either an industry recognized credential, post-secondary certificate of credit, diploma, or associates degree; completes administrative reports; provides information to prospective and enrolled students concerning financial aid assistance, vocational opportunities, program choice/change, educational requisites, policy/procedure, etc.; and administers various testing programs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Operates effectively within plans and implements student recruitment activities for Altamaha Technical College.
2.Assists prospective students with the admission and re-admission process.
3.Processes new student applications and related information.
4.Assists with the design and execution of special events, projects and activities as requested.
5. Coordinates the development and implementation of dual, joint, and Accel enrollment programs as well as articulation at a technical college.
6. Coordinates ASSET/COMPASS testing for dual, joint, and Accel enrollment students.
7. Assists in attaining and delivering textbooks for dual enrolled students.
8.Creates and maintains a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation.
9. Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by attending professional development training, workshops, seminars and conferences and by reading professional literature in the related technical field.
10. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively withinthe organizational structure;demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.

Salary/Benefits: Salary is in accordance with guidelines established by the Technical College System of Georgia. Full-time benefits includeRetirement (TRS or GSEPS), State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program, Health Insurance,Annual/Sick Leave, and Holiday Pay for federal and state holidays.
Additional Information: This is a professional position in higher education, exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and requires a work week of 40 plus hours.
