Post Office Closure Programme10 Post Offices Face Closure
Post Office Ltd has announced plans to close 10 post offices across northern Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. The proposals have been made as part of the national programme to close 2,500 post offices and details can be obtained from the internet at
In addition Buckinghamshire residents will be affected by the closure of post offices in Leighton Buzzard, Linslade and Eaton Bray, all of which are close to the Buckinghamshire border.
The complete list of post offices facing closure is attached.
The plans are subject to a six week consultation period and responses need to be submitted by 26August 2008. Comments can be made in writing, by email or by phone to:

Buckinghamshire Community Action has arranged a meeting on Tuesday22 July starting at 7pm in the Winslow Centre, Winslow at which representatives of Post Office Ltd and Post Watch will present the proposals. A registration form for the meeting can be obtained from Buckinghamshire Community Action.
Mike Moore, Chairman of Buckinghamshire Community Action, said “These are significant proposals affecting a large number of people. It is important that local communities make their concerns known to Post Office Ltd and I would urge community representatives to attend the meeting on 22 July.”
