DESCRIPTION

This is work where all artists, cultural program administrators, and related workers are not listed separately and includes a variety of non-specific artisans. Includes work consulting on or researching, planning, administering, implementing and coordinating statewide cultural programs or initiatives and consulting on or directing graphic or reproduction services for an agency.

Some positions in this occupation may be responsible for coordinating work and supervising employees.

EXAMPLES OF WORK

Supervises employees by assigning work, reviewing progress and assessing performance.

Reviews all requests for printing and composition and makes recommendation on the most economical and efficient method to get the desired results.

Decides relative to printing standards, specifications and management control to achieve a standardization of quality and appearance.

Directs the policies and procedures used in the graphic art composition department.

Reviews and coordinates requests for the purchase or lease of printing/duplicating equipment.

Coordinates the establishment and maintenance of satellite printing operations.

Designs and implements reproduction and graphic standards which govern all publications.

Coordinates the development of computerized systems for more effective support of graphic services including mailing, accounting, and magnetic tape compositions.

Plans, coordinates and administers cultural programming in numerous discipline areas.

Facilitates communication and collaboration among staff, artists, cultural and professional organizations, educational and governmental agencies, businesses, and citizens through presentations, site visits, articles, reports and written evaluations.

Prepares and delivers presentations to constituents, statewide, nationally and internationally; reports to executives and;, if applicable, to advisory council or board, regarding program policies and practices and recommendations for change.

Prepares grant applications seeking funding for cultural programs, manages contracts/agreements with outside cultural funding sources.

Manages and monitors grants awarded by agency for cultural programs in Florida.

Maintains records and compiles statistical reports concerning cultural programs.
