  1. Students will acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and skills to make a successful transition from school to the world of work and adult life
  2. Increase students personal financial literacy
  3. Acquire skills and attitudes that lead them to contribute to the good of the community and society
  4. Students will develop characteristics and behaviors necessary for success in school, work and everyday settings
  5. Increase students interpersonal relationships through developing more effective communication and conflict resolution skills

Student’s Interim Measurable Goals

  1. Student will complete 30 hour lifeskills course facilitated by YWCA staff
  2. Student will complete work ethics activities, and receive certificate of completion
  3. Student will participate in three workshops designed to increase knowledge and skills relevant to success in adult life. Student will complete reflection paper on each presentation
  4. Student will gain knowledge of diverse perspectives of individuals and groups through guest speakers
  5. Student will research community resources in order to identify and evaluate services available to individuals and/or groups
  6. Student will maintain a weekly journal reflecting on tasks completed and feelings and thoughts, etc

  1. Student will complete Keytrain work habits/ethics exercises and evaluations
  2. Student will complete reflection paper on each presentation attended
  3. Student will maintain weekly journal describing ELO experience
  4. Mid-point report indicating student overall progress towards learning goals completed by HQT
  5. Student will develop and maintain a portfolio for combined activities
  6. Student will receive a certificate of completion of the YWCA lifeskills curriculum and complete a final project to reflect mastery of approved competencies
  7. Student will complete a final project to summarize his/her ELO experience, to be evaluated by HQT and community mentor.

Final Method of Evaluation of ELO

Student will create a final presentation to summarize his/her and answer the essential questionto demonstrate proficiency in the competencies detailed in this ELO outline and earn a certificate of completion for the YWCA lifeskills curriculum
