Sketch a dividing nucleus using the following information for a somatic/body cell and for a gamete or reproductive cell. The instructions for the somatic cell do not include number 4 or 7. The instructions for the gamete do not include number 3.

  1. Diploid Number is 8
  2. Haploid Number is 4
  3. Must sketch the movement of chromatids and chromosomes throughout G1, S phase, and all phases of mitosis and Cytokinesis
  4. Must sketch the movement of chromatids and chromosomes throughout G1, S phase, and all phases of meiosis I and II
  5. The sketches must be in COLOR
  6. No more then 2 sketches per sheet of paper
  7. Must label when crossing over occurs
  8. Must label when sister chromatids are pulled apart or when homologous chromosomes are separated
  9. Must describe the ending cells of each process and how they compare to each other and their parent cell in terms of identical genetic information or unique GI.
