Hello again!
Now that April is finally over, we can hopefully move on to warmer and dryer pastures! We have been keeping busy this month by developing some new classes (info below) and Sharon has been working on a commission piece.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and don't forget Mother's Day is literally around the corner,and Father's Day is not far behind. Also, graduation and wedding season is about to kick off! Make special gifts for everyone in your life. It means more!
New Classes
Fused Birdhouse Class
In this class you will learn all the tips and tricks while making your very own glass birdhouse. Sharon will provide all the fun embellishments and firing; you will need to buy the background glass and the glass for the roof (1.5 square feet total). These couldn't be cuter. So stop in today to get a better look and to sign up! Glass cutting skills required!

Faux Wine Bottle with Topper
Create a slumped "wine bottle" made of System 96 fusible glass and a coordinating bottle topper! This class is even better than melting wine bottles because it offers so many more design possibilities. Prism will provide both firings, use of our mold, design elements, and instruction. Students are responsible for the purchase of the base glass. This versatile dish has a handle and a cavity that measures 4x8", perfect for hors'dourves. Glass cutting skills required!

Frequent Fuser's Club
Fuser's Club is one of the best nights at Prism. It's for anyone who has taken our Fused Glass Pendant class.It is just like the class, except there is no lecture, and you can make more than just pendants. For full details click here.»

Tues 3 & 10 6pm / Square Panel Lamp $95 / Learn the techniques of making a panel lamp in this cool four sided version. Pattern, class time, and instruction provided. Please bring tools, glass, foil, and solder to class. Some homework will be required. First two weeks are scheduled, third session (if needed) will be scheduled individually. Lamp base not included.
Sat 7 12:30-3:30 / Fused Glass Pendants $95 / During this beginner formal class you will create 10 glass pendants. Learn the principles and techniques to have success with fusing during the formal lecture. All materials are included. This class is the gateway to all our other fusing classes.
Wed 11 12pm / Glass Cutting 101$40 / Learn to cut, grind and fit, safety, tools, and techniques. Vital for any glass work. Cut with confidence!
Sat. 14 12-2pm / Science behind Kiln Firing $40 / Why do I need a programmable controller on my kiln? Understanding the firing processes that glass requires will allow you to have greater success. Learn about the three phases of firing schedules and how to build your own firing schedules for you kiln in you environment. If you are building larger and more technical projects, this class is for you. This seminar will run 1.5-2hours.
Tues. 17 5:30-8pm / Dichroic Night Out $16/ea. / Use Prism's stash of dichroic to create the most stunning pendants, earrings, and rings! All materials are included. Must make 3.
Thurs 19 4-8pm / Frequent Fuser's Club: Open NightPrices Vary / For experienced fuser's only with some cutting experience. Create pendants or ornaments using Prism's selection of glass. Noodles, stringers, and confetti are included. Prices based on size. This is open studio time and instruction is not included.
Sat 21 10:30-3:30 / Groutless Mosaic $99 / This class is a fun way to change up your mosaic knowledge. Using specialty mastics you can create a colorful and interesting mosaic with no grouting! Using embellishments provided by Prism, you will design and create a beautiful glass mosaic mirror. We will have specialty items for sale during the class, and students are encouraged to bring in their own costume jewelry, beads, crystals and more.

Sat. 28 10:30-3:30 / Glass on Glass Mosaic $90 / During this class, you will make a 10x12 inch"glass on glass" mosaic. Choose from ourpatterns or design your own. This project teaches the direct method. Most materials provided, including the frame. Cutting skills recommended, but not required. This project cannot be finished in a few hours, so there will be homework. *Grout session will be scheduled during class

Friday 3 11-3pm / Stained Glass in a Day $69 / In three hours, try your hand at stained glass. You will create a cute 6" square sun catcher and learn the basic skills required for doing stained glass. This is a great class for anyone who has ever wanted to try stained glass without a huge investment. All the materials are included.
Sat. 4 12:30-3:30 / Fused Pendants$95 / During this beginner formal class you will create 10 glass pendants. Learn the principles and techniques to have success with fusing during the formal lecture. All materials are included. This class is the gateway to all our other fusing classes.
Tues. 7 6pm-8pm / Fused Funky Clock $85 + base glass / Create a fun and funky fused clock. You will learn about fusing, drilling, clock assembly, and other techniques. Clock works, fusing, and instruction will be included. Purchase glass prior to class. Pre-requisites: Fused Glass Pendant class and basic cutting skills.
