JOB SUMMARY
SUMMARIZE THE OVERALL PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB:
The procurement of inventory for all Sales Markets.
  • Analyze and evaluate computer generated forecasting reports to determine inventory needs and volumeon Beer and Specialty Waters for Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee.
  • Communicate with Sales Management regarding procurement of inventory based on field generated forecasting - Hard Forecast.
  • Analyze lead times for both Domestic and Imported Beer & Specialtyproducts.
  • Maintenance ofefficient inventory levels.
  • Enter Purchase Orders for the procurement of inventory.
  • Communicate with supplier ordering departments to ensure receipt and accuracy of PO's
  • Work with our carriers to ensure prompt Consolidated Loads
  • Responsible for directing all transportation needs for inbound shipments.
  • Communicate with commodity managers and all sales teams on arrival of PO's
  • Responsible for New Item setup and maintenance.
  • Responsible for maintaining supplier product costs (FOB) in JBA and informing upper management of product increases
  • Responsible for ensuring our freight costs are competitive and entering of invoices in our system
  • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection procedures on all imports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, CERTIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES TO ENTER POSITION:
  • High school diploma required
  • College Degree preferred.
  • Purchasing experience preferred.
  • Above average analytical and communication skills required.
  • Must have solid computer skills to include, but not limited to Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Exel, Outlook, etc).
  • 10-Key Data Entry experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection procedures preferred.
  • Familiar with Inventory Management and Warehousing terms.
  • Import/Export experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of LTL/Long Haul/Rail transportation preferred.
  • Must have ability to communicate effectively both written and oral.
  • Must be able to react quickly to rapidly changing stock levels.
  • Must be able to pass background checks (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks…)
