Dear [Media Representative’s Name],

It is my pleasure to provide this brief press kit to re-introduce the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC), a nonprofit in the heart of Quincy’s downtown, to the [Publication]. Since its inception in 1991 MBCC has set itself apart from other mainstream breast cancer groups, who emphasize early detection or finding a cure, by instead focusing on the need to prevent this disease before it starts, needlessly devastating another life.

As MBCC will be marking it’s 20th anniversary this year, and to commemorate two decades of dedication to breast cancer prevention, we are launching a new, user-friendly website full of resources, latest news, reports, and research, as well as hosting educational events throughout the year, with the goal of bringing prevention information to women and men across the state. We are dedicated to ENDING THIS EPIDEMIC.

More details are included in the enclosed PRESS RELEASE, which you are welcome to use for publication in the paper. Being committed to the cause of eradicating environmental links to breast cancer in Massachusetts, we feel a close affiliation to our community of supporters. We welcome your collaboration in order to bring this important and worthy message to your many readers. Furthermore, we may be able to connect you with a local resident who supports MBCC’s efforts for interviews.

Please take a moment to review the valuable information, such as tip sheets on reducing exposures to chemicals linked with breast cancer, science reviews, and other resources, included in this press kit. I’m sure you’ll agree that the readers of the [Publication]will be extremely interested in our unique prevention message, which not only sets us apart from the other breast cancer groups but also reflects the kind of science-driven and practical information your readers demand.

You are welcome to contact me, Erin Boles, at (617) 376-6222 or if you would like more information or require clarification on the enclosed. I will be following up with you within two weeks.

Thank you in advance for your time and your interest.

Kind regards,

Erin Boles

Interim Executive Director
