Slide 3 - Oracle Human Capital Management Cloud Release 9

Slide notes

Hello, my name is Kris. Welcome to the Release 9 training for enhancements in Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud Talent Review and Succession Management. In this session, we’ll cover the enhancements that we have made in this release that support a multi-dimensional view of your talent.

Slide 4 - Agenda

Slide notes

For the enhancements covered in this training, we’ll give an overview, followed by more detail to explain how you can use them, and what business value they bring.

Then we’ll walk you through a demonstration where you’ll also have the opportunity to go through the flow for yourself in Try It Out mode.

Next we’ll explain what you need to consider before enabling these features in your business, and what you need to know to set them up.

Slide 5 - Enhancements Overview

Slide notes

Your managers want to understand their workforce as thoroughly as possible. To do so, they need to consider a number of dimensions about their workers. They also want to optimize their talent review conversations so they will appreciate being able to use the Talent Review dashboard more efficiently. And finally, they will now find it easier to prepare for talent review meetings.

Assessing your workers through different lenses provides a deeper, richer understanding of who they are and how well they are able to contribute to the needs and goals of your organization. You can now use seven different ratings in various combinations to define single rating views or X versus Y views to analyze your workforce. Define views from your workers’ performance, potential, goals, competency, and talent score ratings, or your assessments of their risk of loss or impact of loss, to understand what your workers are doing, how well they are doing it, how likely they are to leave, and what the impact of their leaving would be on your team. You can also now configure your own Talent Score rating model or continue to use the rating model that Oracle provides.

Once you have defined these views, switch among them right on the Talent Review dashboard while you are running your meeting to further enrich your talent review conversations.

Having a fuller picture of your employees allows you and your management team to make better decisions. For example, you might wish to consider your workers’ overall performance versus their overall competency ratings to understand not just how they are performing, but also at what level of expertise. Or you might choose to compare potential versus risk of loss to determine how likely it might be that you will lose their top talent. Or you might wish to compare risk of loss to impact of loss to determine what kind of attrition you might face among your most critical jobs.

Slide 8 - More Efficient Talent Review Meeting Dashboard

Slide notes

You want to use the features of the Talent Review dashboard to support your talent review conversations as fluidly and naturally as possible. In other words, you need to be able to use the tool as unobtrusively and effortlessly as possible. You will find these two improvements to the dashboard particularly helpful:

You can now select up to three workers to pass to the Compare user interface in a single step. Once on the Compare UI, you can continue to select additional workers or jobs to use in your comparison.

When you open the organization chart, the default view is now the business leader’s team.

Slide notes

Talent reviews are among the most strategic conversations in your entire business. Your meeting facilitators will now spend less time searching and navigating, freeing them to focus on these very crucial discussions.

Notes

Slide 10 - Prepare for Talent Review Meetings More Easily

Slide notes

Sometimes you’re interrupted while setting a meeting. We’ve added a Save action to the Create Meeting flow that allows you to pick up where you left off at a more convenient time.

Workers occasionally have the same name, so it can be hard to figure out who is who. We now display email addresses by default to help you know that you’re selecting the right person.

We’ve moved the navigation to manage your potential assessments to where you expect to find it: with your other setup tasks in the Fusion Setup Manager.

We continue to make it easier and faster to configure your tool and to set up meetings. The less time you have to spend preparing for the meetings means that you have more time to spend in the meetings.

Slide 14 - Summary of Enhancement Capabilities (1 of 3)

Slide notes

Here is the summary of the features I have talked about today:

Switch Nbox Views

You can configure your dashboard templates with any combination of nbox views. You can configure views with a single rating or with two ratings in an X versus Y view.

When you run talent review meetings created from these templates, you can switch among your configured views to consider your talent through a variety of lenses. For example, you might wish to compare workers’ performance to their overall competency ratings in an X versus Y axis view, or you might wish to calibrate their risk of loss or impact of loss ratings in a single measure view.

Slide 15 - Summary of Enhancement Capabilities (2 of 3)

Slide notes

Your meeting facilitators can run talent reviews faster and make the experience more streamlined for the meeting participants. These enhancements, Select Multiple Workers to Compare and Default View on the Organization Chart will now make navigations within the Talent Review dashboard smoother and easier, allowing the facilitators to focus less on interacting with the dashboard and more on the strategically important conversation about the talent in your organizations.

And now that we’ve added a link to the Prepare Review Content work area, your reviewers will now also find it easier to complete their preparations for the meeting.

Slide notes

And finally, creating your potential assessment and setting up your talent review meetings is now easier and more convenient with these three enhancements:

Easily distinguish workers in your review population with the displayed email addresses displayed in the tables on the Select Review Population page

Save talent review meetings while creating them

Find the Manage Potential Assessment task along with the other setups that you manage in Fusion Setup Manager.
