PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL
Fourteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time
Year A
Invitation to Prayer:
My brothers and sisters,
let us pray with one voice
to the God of revelation and mystery
for the meek and humble of the earth,
the building up of the Church
and the salvation of all people.
Concluding Prayer:
Lord God of heaven and earth,
by whose gracious will
the mysteries of the kingdom
are revealed to the childlike,
make us learn from your Son’s humility of heart,
that in shouldering his yoke
we may find refreshment and rest.
Through Christ our Lord.
Or:
With Jesus we give you thanks,
Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
for revealing to the humble
the mysteries of your love and salvation.
Set our hearts on your kingdom
and refresh our weary souls
with the grace of your Spirit
that we may shoulder the cross of Christ
with the joy that comes from serving you.

and for the Catholic Church in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
We pray to the Lord.
2.For peace and the needs of our world and country;
for the children of the world;
for those oppressed and weary;
and for all who struggle to build a just society.
We pray to the Lord.
3.For those experiencing the hardships of floods, fires or natural disasters;
for suitable weather for the crops;
and for all farmers, employees and seasonal workers.
We pray to the Lord.
4.For the renewal and safety of those on vacation;
for those seeking employment;
and for the sick, recovering and hospitalized.
We pray to the Lord.
5.For the spiritual and physical well-being of all parishioners;
for those who have died recently,
and for those who mourn and suffer loss.
We pray to the Lord.
