McBride & McBride Scholarship

The Robert McBride Scholarship is available for Physical Education, Health Education, Recreation Education, and Dance Education professionals currently working in the fields of HPERD. Scholarships can only be used for attending the SHAPE America National Conference in the next calendar year.

Scholarship Eligibility PROFESSIONAL Member

Be a IAHPERD member in good standing (through May 1 OF THE FOLLOWING YEAR)
Be a IAHPERD member for three(3) consecutive years preceding application
Be a member of SHAPE America or will join upon receiving this award.
BE a full-time working professional in the area of Health, Physical Education Recreation or Dance. This includes areas referred to by other titles, such as Kinesiology and Human Performance.

The Maureen McBride Scholarship is available for a Physical Education, Health Education, Recreation Education, and Dance Education student majors currently studying in the fields of HPERD. Scholarships can only be used for attending the SHAPE America National Conference in the next calendar year.

Scholarship Eligibility STUDENT MEMBER

In order to be eligible for an IAHPERD scholarship, one must:

Be a IAHPERD member in good standing (through May 1 OF THE FOLLOWING YEAR)
Be a member of SHAPE America or will join upon receiving this award.
Be a full-time undergraduate majoring inthe area of Health, Physical Education Recreation or Dance. This includes areas referred to by other titles, such as Kinesiology and Human Performance.

Application will be submitted electronically to the RECOGNITION and AWARDS Chair no later thanOctober 1.

Each scholarship is $1500, reimbursement payable uponproof of receipts of expenses.
