About to Position
Pyramid Educational Consultants of Japan, Ltd. is currently looking to fill a full time Pyramid Consultant position. Travelling widely and regularly will be an integral part of the job, so energy and initiative andaspirit for adventure are vital!
Responsibilities Include
- Delivering training workshops and presentations across Japan covering aspects of PECS® and the Pyramid Approach to Education®
- Consultancy work within families, schools, and agencies across Japan covering aspects of PECS® and the Pyramid Approach to Education®
- Developing information and resources to support successful implementation of PECS® and the Pyramid Approach to Education®
- Participate in global meetings and initiatives with the Pyramid worldwide partners, headed by Dr. Bondy and Mrs. Lori Frost
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate an excellence in and passion for, presenting educational programs and consulting with learning groups, of varying sizes. They must have a degree in a relevant discipline including behaviour analysis, speech pathology, psychology, occupational therapy, and/or special education.
Educational Consultants must be flexible in their availability to work and to travel.
Training presentations and consultation services throughout Japan are scheduled in advance and often involve extended time away from home.
Attendance at PECS® Level 1 Training Workshop is a basic requirement. There is an established PECS® Certification process. Working towards the former will be a requirement, with further training available for the successful applicant.
Direct experience of using PECS® with a range of students in one or more settings. Our consultants work with a wide variety of professionals and families. We require consultants who bring with them the credibility of hands-on experience in the field.
Flexibility for travel. Pyramid Educational Consultants of Japan provides training and consultation across Japan, with a workload that may vary considerably, from week to week, across the year. Extensive solodomestic and international travel may be required. Work or travel at night, on weekends or on bank holidays may also be equired.
Seeking candidates who are bilingual and fluent in Japanese and English.
Salary is commensurate with experience and background.
