Dear Bidders!
The Selection Committe (SC) of CEDGC has been appointed to select the tournament location for the CEDGC 2017. The following document aims at providing common base decision points to the SC, based on which individual bids are comparable. TDs are required to fill-out the bidding form to the most possible extent – meaning that fields can be left blank if no relevant information is available at the moment – and return it to Dani Hatvani () by no later than 30November, 2016. Please feel free to add remarks, or provide any other information you may deem as relevant.
One TD may submit multiple bids, and TDs may also apply for a multiple course event as well (the tournament taking place on two nearby courses).
As for the dates of the tournament, your suggestions provided on this form will be considered, however in order to avoid conflicts with other major european tournaments, we are aiming to host this event either in early May, or late September / early October, 2017. For this matter, please note that the EuroTour 2017 schedule is expected to be available on 1 November, 2016.
The selection committee will make their decision about the winning bid based on the evaluation of the entire bid. By doing so, the following items will have primary importance:
-Estimated price of tournament / player
-Accessibility of tournament
-Course quality (grass, course facilities, availability of a clubhouse or similar venue, etc. )
-Experience of TD as event organiser
Naturally, all other information provided on this form will also be considered.
The selection committee comprises 4 members – Michal Paszkowski (PL, #66145), Bostjan Babic (Si, #63294), Tomi Goricki (HR, #69640) and Dani Hatvani (HU, #31400) – and by the evaluation process it will be ensured that no committee member can take part in the evaluation of a bid coming from their country. For the sake of transparency, a written evaluation of each bid will be made public together with the announcement of the winning bid.
