Presently I am teaching English annually in Hungary (each time for 10 days) and have done so since 1991. I had a contract with the RAF preparing navigational personnel to teach in Germany. Translation experience.

The following are among my significant translation experiences:

Technical interpretation: I interpreted English to German for eight German participants in the three day offshore survival course organised by Robert Gordon’s University, Aberdeen.

Legal interpretation: Court work, e.g. an unpaid television license case; translation and interpretation for the conviction of 4 Germans involved in a record breaking haul of cannabis; interviews in prison. (Aberdeen Court)

Engineering: drill making machine manual translated from German into English.
