Director of Human Resources

Location: Montpelier, OH

Role Summary:

Responsible for leading CKT’s HR department including field operations, training, safety, and administration for all CKT locations. Consistent with the triple bottom line philosophy, provides strategic guidance and direction to all staff in regards to human resource issues, policies and programs. Ensures compliance to all federal, state and local regulations and laws.

General Responsibilities:

·  Within the FoC structure, understands, utilizes and promotes systems/ processes/initiatives within CKT that impact the HR function

·  Participates in and supports the establishment of long-range objectives of HR programs and policies in conjunction with Corporate FoC policies

·  Serves as expert resource and consultant to organization on HR issues including employee relations, policy, multi-state operations, and recruiting efforts.

·  Acts as a liaison for and provides guidance/advice to HR members, and all staff on specific/complex issues

·  Acts as catalyst to integrate CE/CKT systems into all locations as appropriate

·  Performs individual assignments as the executive team and others may direct

·  Provides HR representation on CKT executive team and FoC compensation sub-committee

·  Provides leadership in development of HR competencies within department

·  Has dotted line responsibility to the Corporate Director of Human Resources, Cascade Engineering.

·  Ability to travel 25%

o  Develops departmental metrics and ensures data is gathered timely

·  Financial:

o  Responsible for departmental budget

o  Insures that necessary resources will be available for successful implementation and management of department activities

·  Voice of the Customer:

o  Understands the Voice of the Customer and ensures that customer service is foundational within the HR department

Minimum Education, Experience and Core Competency Requirements:

Bachelors degree in related discipline with 10+ years related experience and professional certification – basic accounting and financial analytics – strong influencing, communications, team building, presentation, negotiating, problem solving and conflict resolution skills - knowledge of DOL, EEOC, ERISA, workers compensation, employment and labor laws and regulations – proficient in MS Office – organizational and leadership development and strategic planning experience.
