Dear Parent/Carer,
Arrangements for The Pioneer Centre
As you will be aware your daughter/son is taking part in the above trips during Activity Week. Students have met today in order to finalise details of the visit and undertake administrative tasks. Please find attached a “Where to Meet” grid showing meeting times (the “Out” time) and estimated time of return (the “Back” time). Also shown is where the group will meet and a wet weather alternative. It is very important that students keep to these meeting times and location in order to ensure a safe departure and return process given that there are over 50 coach/minibus movements during the week. As we have timed bookings and a set itinerary, coaches will not wait if a student is late as this will mean the rest of the group missing out. Please note the following:
The students will leave High Arcal at 9am on Monday morning and should return at approximately 3pm on Friday. They will be spending the week at The Pioneer Centre in Kidderminster participating in a variety of activities (programme attached).
The students will require a packed lunch for the Monday lunch time but all other meals are provided during the week. There is an on site tuck shop which the students will be able to purchase from if they wish. There is no need for any more money than £20 for the week. Students will be responsible for their own money.
There is a kit list attached to this letter which will give you an idea of what the students will need to pack for the week away.
If any electrical devices are brought on the trip it is the up to the students to look after them and the school will take no responsibility if they are damaged, lost or stolen. With regards to mobile phones there will be allocated times of the day which students are allowed the use them. This will be decided when at the Pioneer Centre by Mr Wallace the trip leader.
Also, attached, is a medical form which needs to be completed and returned to Miss Johnsontomorrow morning between 8.00am and 8.40am in the main school foyer. It is a requirement of school trips that, if needed, students bring with them inhalers/epipens/medication as required. Failure to do so will mean students are not allowed to participate, will remain in school and no refunds given.
