The role:

Keeps applications running, provides help desk services or hands on problem fixing. May work on applications, networks or systems. The Support Engineer will take accountability for end to end satisfaction of user issues and ensuring that all technical issues are resolved to a high standard.

  • Provide IT support to a range of clients
  • Record, prioritise, troubleshoot, solve and escalate issues
  • Solve issues over the phone where possible
  • Log IT support requests on CRM helpdesk
  • Windows applications using C# or Visual Basic Operation of source control such as TFS or SVC Debugging
  • Provide Application support
  • Fault finding
  • Fault resolution
  • 1st , 2nd and 3rd level support
  • Confident discussing issues with customers and managing expectations

The Person

  • Use of visual studio as development environment
  • Experience of SQL Including scripts, db restore, stored procs, DTS or SSiS Customer interfacing
  • Proficient in ASP.Net C#
  • Experience of working using a structured testing methodology
  • Working in a support team/ helpdesk environment
  • Management of change controls and estimating associated effort
  • Dynamics CRM SharePoint Network support knowledge such as Dns, SMTP
  • Website development and support using CSS
  • CSS Use and knowledge of ORM such as entity framework or equivalent
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure data centres and hosting on the cloud is desirable
  • Mentoring and advising other employees on technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills and provide useful and helpful updates to management and customers
  • Provide good customer service to our clients be it over the phone, email or in person
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Using initiative and able to prioritise support calls and emails
