In old business, guest speaker Jon DeSantis was present to describe an emergency alert system and answer questions about it. An alert button would be accessible on the phones. As the button is pushed, a prerecorded message would alert extensions throughout the building. Some other items that would need to be addressed are: the preference of a prerecorded message or a code word, the extensions to be included, and a list of procedures to follow if this happens. Brian and Lori will compile a list of employee’s names and extensions for the system. Brian will address cabinet to decide who would be able to do a training at inservice for procedures if the button is activated. The committee will communicate via email if issues need to be addressed prior to the next meeting.Lori also addressed the question of special phones at the office locations that would be accessible to dial 911 if the phone service was out. Jon confirmed that there is a system in place that allows 911 to be dialed from any phone in the buildings if needed.

In new business, an issue arose in which suggestions were asked for regarding an incident. A person entered the Williamsport office and proceeded past the receptionist while the receptionist was unaware. A suggestion was made to look into a buzzer system so the front door would be locked at all times. The front office would then have to admit the person with the system.

There were two injured workers. Copies of the incident reports and recommendations are attached.

The next meeting will be held onJuly 12that 9:00 amvia telephone conference between the Administration Office, Canton and the Administration Office, Williamsport.

There being no further business, Mrs. Pepper adjourned the meeting at 9:20am.

Respectfully submitted,
