SUBJECT: Local Modular Builder Helps Construct ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home for Georgia Family – The Show’s Season Finale Airs this Sunday, May 16th, 8:00PM

In ninety-six hours a highly coordinated group of builders, skilled tradesman, designers, and volunteers worked around the clock to construct a 4,150 square foot home that has dramatically changed the lives of the Jeremy, Jennifer, Josie, and Jacob Williams. Life has been extremely challenging for the Williams family who are battling ALS, a terminal illness, a childhood disability, and their home literally crumbling around them. In spite of these trials, the members of the Williams family have been inspirational role models for their Pine Mountain Valley, Georgia Community. Because of their exemplary lives and great need, Ty Pennington and the Extreme Makeover Home Edition Team picked the Williams family to receive a fabulous new home which would make living with disabilities easier. The Extreme Team requested that this special home be a modular home due to the design complexity, speed of construction, need for energy efficiency, and the requirement to follow green building practices. Nationwide Homes of Martinsville, Virginia the modular manufacturer, CustomSmart Homes of Johnson City, Tennessee, an authorized Nationwide builder, and 28 other Nationwide builders were given the task to build this beautiful home. “We were honored to be a part of this monumental project”, said Bill Lizzio, President of CustomSmart Homes. Even though the build took place in West Central Georgia, thirteen Tennessee volunteers made the 350 mile trip at the end of February to assist in building this new home. Representing our area was CustomSmart Homes, Williams & Son Siding Company, and Nuclear Imaging Services. “Each of our companies contributed time, man-power, financial resources, and construction expertise to make this dream home a reality. In spite of extremely long days, cold temperatures, and snow; this experience was memorable and very rewarding” said Lizzio. “Of course the highlight was being near the family when the bus pulled away and seeing their reaction as they saw their new home for the first time. It was truly an extreme experience”.The Williams Family's story and entire modular building project will be featured on the season finale ofABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition which will air this Sunday, May 16th at 8:00PM.
