IS THAT YOU GOD? PART 2

Believe it or not you were designed to hear God’s voice. God speaks, and He wants you to be obedient to His voice and only His voice. It is His voice that will bring peace and comfort during a storm or challenge that you are facing. If we are in tune with God’s voice it will silence all other voices that are trying to distract us from being obedient to God.

  1. To lift off from last week what are some practices you have been trying, to hear the voice of God?

GOD’S VOICE IS POWERFUL.

Everything around you was created by God. Take a moment to think of all the beauty to be found around us, it was created by God. God is not looking for self-reliant people, instead He is looking for people that are dependent on Him. It is God’s Word that can deliver hope and life in any situation, but we need to be reliant on Him.

Ephesians 3:20

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

  1. In what area of your life are you struggling to trust God?
  1. Why do you think you struggle with this area? How can you hand it over to God?

GOD’S VOICE IS FULL OF GRACE & TRUTH.

2 Corinthians 4:6-7 (GNT)

“The God who said, “Out of darkness the light shall shine!” is the sameGod who made hislight shine in our hearts, to bring us the knowledge of God's glory shining in the face of Christ. Yet we who have this spiritual treasure are like common clay pots, in order to show that the supreme power belongs to God, not to us.”

Jesus is the voice of God. John 14:6 Jesus says he is the way and the truth and nobody comes to God except through Him.

  1. In the above verse the Apostle refers to us as “common clay pots”, meaning we have imperfections yet we carry this spiritual treasure. When was the last time you shared the treasure of God’s Grace & Truth with an unbeliever?

TIME OUT: Take a moment with your group and talk about ways you can share this treasure with unbelievers, those that are far from God.

GOD’S VOICE IS A PROMISE.

God’s promise doesn’t depend on anything but Him. They are not dependent on the economic state of the country, our feelings, our abilities, they only depend on Him.

Joshua 23:14 (NIV)

"Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know ... that not one of all the good promises God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.”

  1. How do peoples broken promises in the past impact our ability in the present to trust God?

Final Thought

Listening to God + Obedience to God = Harvest

Pray for:

  1. The needs of each other in the group.
  2. Each other that we would share this treasure of God’s grace and truth with unbelievers.
  3. Those that will be doing the Life Group Leaders Training this coming Sunday, that they will be effective in helping us reach those that are far from God.
