It is our mission to provide quality sober living to chemically dependent men and to educate and assist them with recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. We believe that drug and alcohol addictions are progressive, chronic and potentially fatal diseases.

The primary goal of The Lantern is to help with recovery from these addictions and to continue to provide a support system to these men and their families. The Lantern will provide service and rehabilitation through discussion groups and 12-step meetings. These programs provide the most effective method of achieving sobriety.

The Lantern provides residence, care and education to local men completely free of charge. We are entirely dependent upon donations (monetary as well as food and supplies) to meet the needs of our residential clients.

Every day The Lantern faces an overwhelming demand from men across the area who desperately need and want help. The demand is so high that we can’t meet all the needs. Our goal is to keep expanding to help even more people. We are very grateful to our contributors for helping us towards that goal. It is your generosity that makes it possible for us to light the path to recovery.

We are reaching out to you today to enlist your help in our next fundraising endeavor. Anything you would be able to donate – money, goods or services – would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and support!

Sincerely,

Tony Parker
