Please read this instruction sheet completely before using this test.

The same instructions are used for both the Primary and Confirmatory test. Use the Primary test kit first.

Step One: Prepare the test materials

Tear open the foil package containing the cassette. They should be placed on a level surface and should be at approximately room temperature.

Washthe selected finger and massage the tip for a minute to encourage blood movement into its capillaries.Push the yellow lancet plunger into the lancet as far as it will go. Twist the lancet plunger until it detaches from the lancet. Remove the yellow plunger. This plunger end will go against your finger.

Step Two: Collect the sample

Clean the area to be lanced with an alcohol pad. Allow the finger to dry thoroughly. Hold the lancet firmly against your fingertip. Make sure the end of the lancet facing the finger you wish to pierce is the same end that the plunger was removed from.

Press the release button on the side of the lancet. The lance will automatically pierce your skin and then retract back into the lancet shell. Discard the lancet.

Squeeze the finger to ensure 2 drops of blood drip into the round well opening on the cassette.

Add 2 drops of buffer solution from the small bottle.

In several minutes, colored bands will start to appear and the test can be read after 10 minutes. The results are invalid if readmore than 20 minutes after adding the blood sample to the cassette.

Interpretation of Results

The Confirmatory Test

The initial test you complete is a primary test. The second confirmatory test is needed to ensure a definitive result. If the primary test indicated a negative result, the confirmatory test is repeated in 20-25 days and if a second negative result is obtained you have a minimal level of P.S.A.

If the initial test result was positive, the confirmatory test should be done in 2-4 days. If the second test is positive you should immediately consult a medical professional since you have tested positive for an elevated level of P.S.A

Interpretation of Results

The Confirmatory Test

The initial test you complete is a primary test. The second confirmatory test is needed to ensure a definitive result. If the primary test indicated a negative result, the confirmatory test is repeated in 20-25 days and if a second negative result is obtained you are negative for the tested hemo-proteins which are indicative of cardiac damage.

If the initial test result was positive, the confirmatory test should be done in 2-4 days. If the second test is positive you should immediately consult a medical professional since you have tested positive for hemo-proteins and your doctor will prescribe a course of action.
