Dear Student and Family Supporter(s),

Welcome to Mrs. Orpurt’s Class! I am excited to have you in my classroom, and I hope you are looking forward to the coming year.

I am beginning my nineteenth year as a middle school educator. I have spent the last thirteen years at Edwardsburg Middle School. It is truly an exceptional place.

I will be team teaching part of the day and offering Resource class every other day for all of my students.

Resource: Resource class is an opportunity to get small group and one-on-one re-teaching and/or remediation on deficit skills. Some days students will have time to work on part of their homework from English and Math class, but most days students will not be able to finish all of their homework during resource hour. Students should anticipate having homework many days during the week.

I look forward to working closely with you and your child this year.
