Meet Participants: Batesville Torpedoes, Blytheville Barracudas, Dart Frog Aquatics, Greene County Gators, Jonesboro Jets, Mt. Home Hurricanes, Stone County (Mt. View) Stingrays,Pocahontas Dolphins, and Wynne Marlins

Date & Start Time: Saturday, June 10th, at 8:30AM

Location: Pocahontas Aquatic Center, 300 Geneva Drive Parking may be interesting and tent space will be limited. However, there is a lot of indoor seating.

Facility: 25 meter pool with 8lanes The 2nd and 4th swimmers in the 100 meter relays may want to start in the water because of the pool depth. Also, all the 25 events will start in the “shallow” end. Swimmers will not be allowed in the therapeutic pool.

Bullpen: NO bullpen will be used.

Eligibility: AAU registered athletes and South Wind Swim Conference team members

Age Divisions: Individual events will be 6 & Under Exhibition, 8 & Under, 9-10 years, 11-12 years, 13-14 years, and 15-18 years. Relays will be 8 & Under, 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 14 & Under, and 18 & Under with the stipulation that at least one swimmer on the relay must be in that age group. A swimmer’s age as of June 1st shall determine their age division, unless they have declared otherwise.

Events: All events will be TIMED FINALS. Submit swimmer’s best SHORT COURSE METER times to ensure proper seeding. This meet will be pre-seeded. We may combine some events due to number of entries and open lanes.

ADDITIONAL EVENTS: We plan on offering a “sprint series” after the regular meet. These events will not count in the swimmers entry limit and they will NOT be scored or awarded ribbons. These events are OPEN. Therefore, if any adults would like to swim them, they are welcome. However, we do request they obtain an Adult Athlete AAU#, as well as pay a $10 swimmer surcharge of which half is given to Southwind Conference. Awards: Individual Events: Ribbons will be awarded for 1st - 6th place in all age groups. Relay Events: Ribbons will be awarded for 1st – 3rd place. Heat Ribbons will be awarded to the winner of each heat for each event. In the 6 & Under Exhibition Events, Participant Ribbons will be awarded.

Scoring: Individual Events: 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Relays: 18-14-12-10-8-6-4-2

Results: Will be posted between the pool and lobby throughout the day.

Warm-up Times: Warm up times will be sent out after entries are received.

Entry Limit: Each swimmer may swim a maximum of five (5) individual events and two (2) relays.

Entry Deadline: Entries must be submitted no later than 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 7th, 2017. Deck entries will be accepted if there is an empty lane. No new heats will be created.

Rules and Safety: 2017 SWSC and USA rules shall govern this meet. No alcohol or smoking in the Pocahontas Aquatic Center.

Concessions: NO GLASS CONTAINERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE POOL DECK. Concession stand will be available.

Hospitality: Drinks and a snack mix will be available for Coaches, Officials, and Timers.

Timers and Officials: We will needTwo (2)timers per lane since we will be using a timing system with plungers and stopwatches. Once entries are received and our swimmers families are signed up, we will let you know how many timers your team will need to provide. It is recommended that your team submit a timer’s sheet to the announcer the day of the meet to insure that there are plenty of timers from your team. Also, each team must provide as many stroke and turn judges as possible.
