VIRU Elite and Division I Final Rugby Schedules – Fall, 2009

This schedule is published following review by participating clubs.

The VIRU Elite and Division 1 final schedules follow. As in previous years, please read down the column with your team’s header to see each team’s schedule. Home games are identified in bold. For example, in the Elite league, CW opens at home to JBAA on Sept. 19, then has a bye, then plays away at Velox on Oct. 3, etc.

All games start at 2:45 unless otherwise agreed by participating teams and the VIRU. Changes to this schedule may be made by mutually agreement of the affected teams – and advice to and consent from the VIRU.

Oct. 10: Thanksgiving.

Nov. 21: Make Up Weekend, or Times Cup Quarter Finals.

November 21 is reserved as Division I Make-Up Weekend, and games may not be moved to this date unless weather preempts the regular schedule. If as last year, no make up games are required, November 21 can be used to play Quarter-Finals for the Times Cup (#8 @ #1; #7 @ #2; #6 @ #3; #5 @ #4). If make up games are required on Nov. 21, Times Cup playoffs would commence with semi-final play (#4 @ #1; #3 @ #2) on November 28.

Nov. 28: Times Cup Semi-Finals.

Dec. 5: Times Cup Final.

All games start at 1:00PM –except that JBAA @ Jutes on Sept. 19; CW @ Jutes on Sept. 26[1]; and Velox @ Jutes on Oct. 24; start at 11:30, as both U Vic teams are home on those dates.

All fixtures and times listed here may be changed by mutual agreement of the affected teams – and with agreement of the VIRU.
