**OKLAHOMA EDUCATIONAL MEMORIAL TRUST (OEMT) SCHOLARSHIPS

Daniel Webster Alumni Scholarship (2.5 GPA; 18 ACT; $1000.00 renewable), Moita Davis Memorial Scholarship (2.5 GPA; 17 ACT; $1000), Daniel Webster PTA Community Scholarship (2.5 GPA; $750, renewable); Gladys Whetstine Scholarship ($1000); Ed Coffey Memorial Scholarship ($750.00);

**ALPHA PHI ALPHA FRATERNITY SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: April 1 (Received)

College-bound seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA and 16 ACT may be eligible. Applicants must include answers to four (4) short essay questions, an official transcript, a recent photo, and two letters of recommendation. Previous awards have been at least $500.

**2017 SUPERINTENDENT’S SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: April 10 (To Counselor)

Graduating seniors with a 3.5 GPA who can demonstrate active school and community involvement are eligible to apply. Five (5) short essays are required. One senior from each TPS high school will be awarded $1000 in cash at a recognition banquet on May 4, 2017.

**MERVIN BOVAIRD SCHOLARSHIP TU

Deadline: April 24 (To Counselor)

The Mervin Bovaird Foundation will award one Webster senior a scholarship to the University

Of Tulsa. Applicants must be admissible to the University of Tulsa and demonstrate academic excellence as well as financial need. The award is $3000 per semester for eight semesters.

**CHEMTRADE COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP FOR WEBSTER SENIORS

Deadline: April 24 (To Counselor)

Chemtrade Refinery Services, a west side manufacturing company, would like to provide a scholarship to a deserving Webster senior. Applicants should be college bound, preferably with a major in Science or Engineering (not Health Sciences). Applicants must demonstrate high scholastic achievement, leadership, involvement in school and community, and financial need. Two letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and an official transcript are required. The award is $1500 nonrenewable.

P.E.O. PRESIDENT’S SCHOLARSHIP

Graduating senior girls who will be attending an accredited college or university may be eligible. The award can be used for tuition or books, and will be paid directly to the school of your choice. The award is $500.00.

HIDDEN FIGURES NO MORE ESSAY CONTEST

Deadline: March 31 (Received)

High school students grades 9-12 are eligible to enter. Applicants must write a 500-word directed essay regarding the impact of STEM industries in Oklahoma (Agriculture, Aerospace, Energy, IT, Health, and Engineering). The award is $1000 scholarship and a STEM gift pack. Submit entries electronically or by U.S.Mail.

ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA “HELEN ADAMS ROUCE” SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: March 31 (Postmarked)

Graduating seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA and planning to attend an Historically Black University

(HBCU), may be eligible. Applicants must provide a biographical sketch including a 2-page essay “The Importance of Pursuing an Education”. A resume of extracurricular activities, honors, awards, and community service is required. A copy of ACT/SAT scores. A 7-semester transcript, a photo,

and three (3) letters of recommendation are also required.Awards range from $500 TO $1000.

TULSA TECH ACCELERATING INDEPENDENCE SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: ASAP

Applicants must be a high school graduate under the age of 24 who has been accepted into a Career Major at Tulsa Technology Center. A minimum 2.0 GPA is required and applicants must apply for FAFSA. A final official high school transcript must be submitted. The award is a full tuition waiver to TTC.

LA SERTOMA INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP GRANT

Graduating seniors who can demonstrate high academic achievement, leadership ability, service to school and community, as well as financial need, are invited to apply for this $1000 award.

LA SERTOMA PROGRESSIVE YOUTH SERVICE AWARD (Downtown Tulsa Chapter)

Deadline: April 7 (Received)

Applicants must be graduating seniors who can demonstrate extracurricular activities and community service may be eligible. Applicants must also write a 500-word essay describing their most meaningful service experiences and how they, themselves, were benefitted.

THE CHEROKEE PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: April 12 (Received)

Graduating seniors who are members of the Cherokee Nation may be eligible. Applicants must have been accepted to NSU, RSU, or CSC and meet HUD income guidelines. Recipients will live in a Cherokee Promise Residence Hall, participate in Cherokee cultural and language activities, and receive nine (9) credit-hours of Elementary Cherokee. The award is $9200 per year for tuition, fees, housing, and meal plans. A reference letter and three (3) short essays are required. Applications available:

ROTARY CLUB OF NORTH TULSA “ED LACY” SCHOLARSHIP

College bound seniors who are U.S. citizens graduating from Tulsa Public Schools may be eligible. Applicants must be active participants in their high school athletic program. A 350-word directed essay, three letters or recommendation, and an official transcript are required. Typewritten applications are preferred. Previous awards have been $1000.00.

HISPANIC AMERICAN FOUNDATION TERESA HELLINGHOUSEN SCHOLARSHIP

Hispanic high school seniors who are not eligible for FAFSA are invited to apply. Applicants must have a well-defined motivation to attend college, community service orientation, maturity, and a strong sense of values. An essay describing how others have influenced your development, how you intend to improve your community and help others, and why you value education is required. One scholarship in the amount of $2000.00 will be awarded.

BENDANA FAMILY STEM SCHOLARSHIPS

Deadline: April 14 (To Counselor)

College bound Hispanic high school seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA who plan to major in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Business may be eligible. An essay describing well-defined motivation to get a college education, belief in education and hard work, volunteer service, and preserving cultural ties is required. The award is $3000/year renewable.

TCC TULSA ACHIEVES PROGRAM

Seniors graduating in May 2017, having attained a 2.0/4.0 GPA, and who are residents of Tulsa County may apply for 63 credit hours with tuition and fees paid while attending Tulsa Community College. Applications must include the Tulsa Achieves Program Agreement form, A Tulsa Community College admissions application, and a FAFSA confirmation form. Program recipients are required to perform 40 hours volunteer service each academic year. All application documents are available at:

Graduating seniors planning to attend Oklahoma State University may be eligible. Applicants must

have a minimum 18 ACT, a 3.0/4.0 GPA, and demonstrate $1000 of financial need according to FAFSA. Qualified students will receive a minimum $2000/year and OK Promise students who meet these requirements will receive a minimum $8440/year from OSU. Apply to OSU:

This is a $1000 scholarship for women seeking a career in Computer Science/Computer Programming. The scholarship will be awarded to a female student who demonstrates a passion for computer science and is actively seeking opportunities for a meaningful career in the industry.

TULSA COMMUNITY COLLEGE “BRIDGING THE GAP” EARLY CHILDHOOD SCHOLARSHIP

Graduating seniors who are Oklahoma residents and planning to enroll full-time at an eligible Oklahoma career technology center, two-year college, or four-year university may be eligible. Applicants must have attained a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and family income must not exceed $50,000.

High school freshmen and sophomores can earn free college tuition through Oklahoma’s Promise (OHLAP). Applicants must currently be in the 9th or 10th grade, complete a specific 17-unit high school curriculum and earn a 2.5 GPA within that curriculum.
