Cardio Fitness Class

The Physical Education program at East Hamilton School seeks to develop the student physically, mentally, emotionally and socially through an organized program of activities and games. Our goal is to strive to enhance the students’ awareness of what a healthy lifestyle is and how to maintain one.

2 Types of Physical Education Courses Offered:

Semester and Final Class GradingNine Weeks Class Grading

  • 37.5 % - 1st Nine Weeks Grade* 40% Dressing Out
  • 37.5 % - 2nd Nine Weeks Grade* 40% Participation
  • 25% - Final Exam*20% Pre-Test and Final Exam/Mid-Term

AFTER 5 (FIVE) EXCUSED OR UNEXCUSED ABSENCES, WRITTEN MAKE-UP WORK MAY BE REQUIRED.

ANY ABSENCE THE STUDENT HAS THAT MISSES GYM TIME WILL REQUIRE A 1 PAGE ARTICLE SUMMARY TO RECEIVE THEIR PARTICIAPTION GRADE. REMEMBER: SIX (6) UNEXCUSED ABSENCES MAY RESULT IN FAILURE. (BOARD POLICY)**

THE ONLY LEGAL EXCUSE FOR A STUDENT TO NOT DRESS OUT AND/OR PARTICIPATE IN ALL OR SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES IS TO PRESENT A NOTE FROM A DOCTOR STATING “WHY” AND HOW LONG HE/SHE SHOULD BE EXCUSED AND FROM WHAT SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES.

REQUIRED DRESS CODE for Cardio Fitness

SHIRT: EHHS PHYSICAL EDUCATION SHIRT

SHORTS/PANTS: Solid Black Shorts, Pants or Sweats. There can be NO buttons, rivits, or zippers on these. Shorts must be appropriate size and length and worn at the waist. Only 4’’ above knees is allowed and boys are not allowed to sag or show their undergarments with shorts that are too BIG!!

SOCKS: Athletic, any color

SHOES: Athletic Style withNON-MARKING SOLES !!!

The EHHS PE FEE IS $10.00. This fee covers equipment and provides a uniform shirt.

Additional, individual shirts may be purchased for $10.00.

OUR SCHOOL-WIDE DISCIPLINE CODEAND/OR BOARD POLICY WILL BE FOLLOWED FOR OTHER VIOLATIONS.
