Nomination notes
Candidates are required to produce their current
student card when lodging their nomination.
Only financial members of the Student Union are eligible to nominate, second or stand as a candidate for positions on the Student Union Council.
Candidates can only be nominated/seconded by financial members who are eligible to vote for the position that they are nominating a candidate for.
A separate nomination form must be submitted for each position.
Candidates standing as a team must submit a Registration of Electoral Team Application before the close of nominations. Applications are available from Assistant Returning Officers located at the Bundoora, Brunswick and City campuses. Applications can also be downloaded from
Candidates and Teams may submit a policy statement and a photograph before the close of nominations. Candidates’ policy statements must not exceed 400 words for Officer positions and 200 words for General Representative and NUS positions. Team statements must not exceed 250 words.
The statements and photographs are to be submitted in electronic format and forwarded to and must be lodged no later than the close of the nomination period.

Nominations must be received by the Assistant Returning Officers located at the Student Union Offices at:-

Brunswick - Alaina McMurray (Bld 514 Lvl 1) Monday - Wednesday
or the Returning Officer at the Student Union Office in Building 57 no later than 12 noon on Friday, 18 August, 2017.
