SUBJECT: / NAPIS Reporting Requirements and Timelines
Purpose: / To remind AAA staff of National Aging Program Information Systems (NAPIS) reporting requirements, timelines and procedures.
Background: / FFY2014 was the first year that CLC GetCare was used for NAPIS reporting. A NAPIS reporting guide was developed and released in MB H15-073 for FFY2015. Family Caregiver Support Program NAPIS reporting was completed by ALTSA headquarters in FFY2015 and instruction to enter FCSP NAPIS data for FFY2016 was issued in MB H15-073.
FFY2016 NAPIS Reporting will follow NAPIS reporting guide issued in FFY2015 per MB H15-073.
What’s new, changed, or
Clarified: / This management bulletin includes the NAPIS reporting guide issued in MB H15-073 along with frequently asked questions to assist with completing NAPIS reports timely. To clarify information issued in MB H15-073, all Family Caregiver Support Program NAPIS reporting will be completed by Area Agencies on Aging for FFY2016 using pre-populated data. State Kinship Program data entry was optional for FFY2016, so we have added instruction to this MB to assist you in completing your NAPIS report with State Kinship Program Data added. If this process proves to be too difficult, please contact us before 11/30/2016 to request an alternative process.
ACTION: / Per the NAPIS reporting guide issued in MB H15-073 attached, the following due dates remain in effect:
All NAPIS data for FFY16 must be entered by AAAs by October 31, 2016
RTZ will run the NAPIS reporting script in GetCare on November 1, 2016
AAAs must verify data and lock all NAPIS reports by November 30, 2016
ALTSA will verify AAA level NAPIS reports and request any clarifications from AAAs by December 31, 2016.
