- The Scottish Power compound on Belle Vue Lane, Guilden Sutton, which is located just by the bridge over the A55, was broken into again last Sunday night. Measures are being put in place to prevent further offences. Police ask for anyone who uses this roadto keep an eye on the entrance and report straight away, if they see anyone hanging about, or vehicles parked up.
- At some point over the past couple of weeks, a very large quantity of heating oil has been stolen from the storage tank at BickleyChurch, St Winefredes Green, Bickley. The offenders must have been on site for a considerable time to commit this offence and may well have been trying to give the impression that they were workmen. If you remember seeing anyone, please contact the police with whatever information you have.
- A window was smashed at the Health Centre in Tarporley just over a week ago, probably on Thursday evening (18th – 19th). This appears to be malicious damage. If you know or have heard who may have been responsible, please contact the police.
- A large quantity of ‘red diesel’ has been stolen from the Welsh Water compound on Pump Lane, Churton. This is the second time in recent weeks that this compound has been targeted. Offenders will have been present for a lengthy time and will have had a large vehicle to commit the offence. This compound is on a very quiet no-through road. Local residents should please be aware of any unusual vehicles in the area and report any suspicious activity at or near the Welsh Water site.
- On Tuesday evening, two males were arrested after breaking into vehicles parked on hotel car parks around Chester. Although these offenders have been arrested, it is believed that there are several ‘teams’ involved in this kind of activity. We therefore continue to advise extra care when parking in such locations and for the public to continue to report any suspicious activity.
- On Friday morning, police received a report that a sawmill in Balderton had been broken into the previous night. This is an isolated location where any strange vehicles or people would probably stand out. If you saw anything out of the ordinary, please call the police.
- Finally, suspicious activity in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Quayside area of Frodsham was reported to the police by residents. As a result, patrols were able to arrest two offenders and also recover property which had been stolen from vehicles nearby. This reinforces the message that it is only with the continued support and cooperation of the public that we can work effectively to keep communities safe. Very often, it is what may appear to be insignificant information that leads to a successful result. Thank you for your continued assistance.
