Thank you for your interest in Federal Hall National Memorial. Here, on Wall Street, George Washington took the oath of office as our first President. This site was home to the first Congress, Supreme Court, and Executive Branch offices. The current structure, a Customs House, later served as part of the US Sub-Treasury. Now, the building serves as a museum and memorial to our first President and the beginnings of the United States of America.

Hours & Location:

Federal Hall National Memorial is located in lower Manhattan at 26 Wall Street. The rear entrance, which is handicapped accessible, is at 15 Pine Street. The building is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is closed for all federal holidays.

Admission:

Federal Hall National Memorial does not charge an admission fee. Ranger-led programs, on- and off-site, are free of charge.

Self-Guided Tours:

Self-guided tours are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Guided Tours and Talks:

Free guided tours are available to the public Monday through Friday at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM. The schedule is subject to staff availability. Groups of 10 or more can make a reservation by completing the reservation form and faxing it to (212) 668-2899. Reservations are available any time between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Groups must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.

NOTE: If your group is late for a scheduled program, there is no guarantee that your tour will be guided. Please call ahead if your group will be late.

Off-Site Presentations:

Programs may be scheduled at other locations. Off-site presentations must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. The topics of any of the tours or talks are available for off-site programs. Please complete the reservation form, and fax it to (212) 668-2899.

Confirmation:

Approximately one week after receiving your reservation form, a confirmation form will be sent to you via fax or email. Should you not receive confirmation within one week of the submission of your request, please contact Federal Hall National Memorial at (212) 825-6990.
