Business Women Scotland Awards 2016
Mentor of the Year
Award for a business mentor who has been inspirational and provided her knowledge, expertise and advice to others, free of charge.
Eligibility
The mentor must be a female based in Scotland.
Application process
Entries must include a completed entry form stating the category entered, mentor and mentee details, and information to highlight why this mentor should win, with information provided to match the judging criteria. You can send supporting information in addition to the entry form.
All entries must be emailed to by 9am on Monday 5th September 2016.
The awards are free to enter. All information provided in your entry will be kept confidential.
Additional information for associated publicity
If you are named on the short list for this category, we will require a high resolution photograph of the nominee in jpg format, and a vector based eps or high-resolution jpg of your business logo.
Awards Ceremony
A short list of up to 4 companies will be announced for each category, and we would ask all shortlisted companies to purchase tickets for the Awards Dinner on Thursday 27th October 2016 in Glasgow, where we will announce and present the winner with her award.
Dates
5th September 2016 (9am): closing date for completed entry forms
19th September 2016: shortlist announced
27th October 2016: awards presented at BWS Awards ceremony
Judging criteria
Judges will look for evidence of how the mentor’s advice has helped the individual and their organisation’s product or service in some way:
· Improve and develop the effectiveness of your leadership or management
· Improve your confidence
· Advice on your business plan
· Increase operational efficiency
· Generate increased revenue and profit
· Increase customer base or loyalty
· Create a culture of improvement or innovation
