Dottie C. Miller Award

This award will be presented to the person who has shown outstanding support to the Greek community at Wichita State University. The recipient of the award should be active in promoting the Greek community on campus and need not be a member of a Greek organization.

The award’s guidelines are the following:

1.  The nominee may be an alumna/us of the chapter, a faculty member, or any person (not a current chapter member) who has made an outstanding contribution to the Greek community. The nominee may not be a staff member of Student Involvement.

2.  Each chapter may choose its nominee through any internal chapter procedure they desire. The chapter should nominate the person who they believe is best suited for this award.

3.  Submit the application form located on page 2 of this document along with the essay outlined on page 2.

4.  The selection committee will choose a finalist on the basis of past and present involvement in the Greek community. The focus of this award is on what the candidate has already done for the Greek community.

5.  All documents should be emailed to with the subject line: “{Name}, {Chapter}, {Award Title}.” Please make sure you receive a confirmation email following the submission of your award. If you do not receive an email, re-submit or do a follow-up with Rani Somers at (316) 978-7017, do not assume your application has been received. Email errors will not allow for an application to be accepted late.
