Texas Tech Omnium

Held under USA Cycling event permit number 2010-465

Hosted by: Tech Racing, Texas Tech University, 2500 Broadway, Lubbock, TX 79409

February 27-28, 2010

A choice:

You can compete downstate in two circuit races that share 80% of their course with each other and are really just glorified crits, or you can come to Lubbock and endure miles of climbing, high winds of the plains, and get the chance to earn points for your collegiate team.

A few other things to mention that may entice your participation:

  • Arial photography (for real- an airplane or a helicopter, or both, who knows)
  • On-site massage therapist for $1/ minute
  • Free lodging (available on a first-come, first-served basis)
  • A time trial ramp
  • Podiums with real live podium girls
  • Music at all venues
  • And for the first time* outside of Collegiate Nationals, three conferences at the same race! That’s right, we have invited the RMCCC and the SWCCC to come compete will all of our schools: UTEP vs. A&M, CU vs. UT, Fort Lewis vs. MSU, every team for itself, may the best team win.

*Maybe not, it’s a hard thing to prove.

*****Race entry fees are $13.00 per event or $34.00 for all three*****

Lodging

Since our race is quite a distance from any of the other universities, we are going to try and reduce some of the financial burden incurred by travelling out here. We can’t pay for your gas, but we can offer you a free place to stay. If you want your team to stay in Lubbock for free, please contact our Lodging Director:

Josh Rogers
