TITLE OF POST:Events Assistant – part time

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Senior Events Fundraiser

JOB PURPOSE: To support the events fundraiser in the administration, planning and running of a wide range of fundraising events throughout the year.

To ensure our supporters have an excellent experience and maximize on the fundraising opportunities.

To represent Bluebell Wood at some of its key events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To support the senior events fundraiser in the administration of all events.
  2. To keep full, detailed and up to date records of all contacts and income on the Bluebell Wood database.
  3. To work with the communications team to ensure regular, timely & motivational correspondence with all attendees and supporters from registration to the date of the event, to maximise on the fundraising potential.
  4. To ensure all donations are thanked appropriately and promptly and provide feedback on the use of donations as required.
  5. To obtain competitive quotes and assist with the ordering of supplies and equipment for events.
  6. To assist the senior events fundraiser to plan and run large scale events to offer an excellent customer experience.
  7. To liaise with the volunteer co-ordinator to source and manage volunteer support for each event.
  8. To act as the main representative for Bluebell Wood at some of our smaller scale events.
  9. To support the evaluation of all events and make recommendations that will achieve set objectives and budgets in the short and long term.
  10. To research current trends in events fundraising, with input into the events strategy
  11. To champion events internally, involving and engaging staff, volunteers and families in supporting and promoting the events.
  12. To increase the profile of Bluebell Wood across all sections of the community.
  13. To work alongside other members of the team to develop new fundraising initiatives, attend team meetings, plan and budget.
  14. To identify opportunities for other departments and pass opportunities to the appropriate fundraiser.
  15. To ensure fundraising remains within legal constraints and pays attention to health and safety.
