General Information:

Center hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 8 PM and Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM

Service requests may be made in person or by phone at 706-542-8508

All requests for services and information are kept strictly confidential.

We are located on the 4th floor, suite 424 Aderhold Hall, College of Education.

About Our Staff:

The Center for Counseling and Personal Evaluation provides professional services for a wide range of emotional, interpersonal, and educational concerns.

We are a diverse group of master and doctoral student-clinicians within the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services.

All of the Center’s staff are under the supervision of University of Georgia faculty members. The Center Director, Dr. Linda Campbell, is a licensed psychologist in the state of Georgia.

We are committed to fostering an environment where everyone is respected, welcomes, and appreciated. We believe that valuing diverse life experiences is an important piece of providing culturally competent services.

Individual Counseling:

Depression, anxiety, relationships, abuse, personal growth, divorce, and grief and loss

Family and couples counseling:

Family communication, expression of emotion, problem-solving, separation or divorce, parenting, premarital or remarriage concerns, and negotiating marital concerns

Group counseling:

Parenting, personal growth, communication skills, assertiveness skills,

Decision-making skills, adolescent and child, support

Children and adolescents:

Play therapy, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, sibling or peer conflicts, and behavioral problems

Career counseling:

Career testing, career planning, job burnout, post retirement concerns, stress management, difficult co-worker relations, and job dissatisfaction

Psychological testing:

For children: learning disabilities, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and social or emotional problems

For adults: psychological assessments, personality assessments, intellectual disabilities, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and learning disabilities

Cost of services:

Counseling sessions are based on a sliding fee scale, according to income.

Psychological assessment services are one set fee and vary according to type of assessment.
