Grand Theft Auto V has a wide variety of weapons to choose from - the most in any GTA game, with a total of 30 weapons in the Standard edition of the game, plus 3 available only in the Special and Collectors Editions. R* promises more weapons to be added to the game with future DLCs.

This pistol is based upon the Beretta 92SB-F which is a semi-automatic pistol chambered for the 9x19mm round. This pistol, designated as the M9, is currently the standard issue pistol for the United States military.

The Heckler & Koch Universal Combat Pistol is a double action, semi-automatic handgun also known as the HK P46. The UCP is the companion side arm to the HK MP7 submachine gun, using the same HK 4.6x30mm bottlenecked cartridge. The 4.6x30mm round is a direct competitor to the 5.7x28mm. As such, the UCP is a direct competitor to the FN Five-seven pistol, both have greater armor-piercing capabilities and less recoil compared to other commonly used military handgun cartridges.

The Desert Eagle is a large-framed gas-operated semi-automatic pistol designed by Magnum Research in the US. The design was refined and the actual pistols were manufactured by Israel Military Industries until 1995, when MRI shifted the manufacturing contract to Saco Defense in Saco, Maine. Since 2009, the Desert Eagle Pistol has been produced in the USA at MRI's Pillager, MN facility. Kahr Arms acquired Magnum Research in the middle of 2010.

The Norinco Type 56 II is a Chinese clone of the AK-47. The AK-47 was first introduced in GTA III and has been featured throughout the series since.

This assault rifle is based upon the IMI Tavor TAR-21 which is a fully automatic assault rifle chambered for the 5.56x45mm round and capable of firing up to 900 rounds per minute. The IMI Tavor TAR-21 is currently the standard issue assualt rifle for the Israel Defense Forces. The IMI Tavor TAR-21 is a new addition to the GTA series having not been seen before.

This shotgun is predominantly based upon the Mossberg 590 which is a semi-automatic .12 gauge shotgun. The Mossberg 590 is virtually identical to the Mossberg 500 with the main difference being the internal workings. This weapon appears to be a mix of both with the front of the weapon taking inspiration from the Mossberg 590 and the rear stock taking inspiration from a Mossberg 500. Both the Mossberg 590 and 500 are commonly used by many law enforcement agencies throughout the world. Regardless of what model it is, this Mossberg shotgun will be a new addition to the GTA series having not been seen before.

Sawed-Off Shotgun

The Keltec KSG shotgun is a manually operated, pump action weapon. The barrel locking mechanism of the shotgun is achieved by a swinging wedge which is located inside the top of the bolt; this will engage the barrel extension of the shotgun. The sliding forend is connected to the bolt by two operating bars. The ammunition feed is from two independent tubular magazines which is located below the barrel of the shotgun.

The Accuracy International AWM is a bolt-action sniper rifle manufactured by Accuracy International designed for magnum rifle cartridge chamberings. The Accuracy International AWM is also unofficially known as the Arctic Warfare Super Magnum, which typically denotes AWM rifles chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum.

Heavy Sniper

This sniper rifle is probably a combination of different kinds of rifles. The operating part and the buttstock is from an AR-15 rifle. The chassis which looks like a fiber glass one and the heavy barrel are for bolt action rifles. The muzzlebrake for .308 rifles is based on a L96 AWP rifle. The sniper rifle is missing a gas tube which it would need to operate. However, the design was modified for the official cover artwork of GTA V. The stock was replaced with a classic AR low receiver and the fire selector can be seen now.

The M134 Minigun is a 7.62 mm, six-barreled machine gun with a high rate of fire (2,000 to 6,000 rounds per minute). It features Gatling-style rotating barrels with an external power source, normally an electric motor. The "Mini" of the name is in comparison to designs that use a similar firing mechanism but larger shells, such as General Electric's earlier 20-millimeter M61 Vulcan, and "gun" for a caliber size smaller than that of a cannon, typically 20 mm and higher. "Minigun" refers to a specific model of weapon, originally produced by General Electric. This minigun will destory vehicles almost instantaneously.

The Milkor Multiple Grenade, or M32 (US Military Designation) is a lightweight 40 mm six-shot revolver-type grenade launcher developed and manufactured in South Africa by Milkor Ltd. The MGL was demonstrated as a concept to the South African Defence Force in 1981 and immediately accepted.

RPG

The RPG-7 is a portable, unguided, shoulder-launched, anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade launcher. Originally the RPG-7 and its predecessor, the RPG-2, was designed by the Soviet Union. The weapon has the GRAU index 6G3. The English-language term "rocket-propelled grenade" or RPG. The ruggedness, simplicity, low cost, and effectiveness of the RPG-7 has made it the most widely used anti-armor weapon in the world. The RPG has been used in almost all conflicts across all continents since the mid-1960s from the Vietnam War to the early 2010s War in Afghanistan.

C4 or Composition C4 is a common variety of the plastic explosive known as Composition C. C4 is composed of explosives, plastic binder, plasticizer and usually a marker or odorizing taggant chemical. The explosive in C4 is RDX (cyclonite trinitramine), which makes up around 91% of C4 by mass. The plasticizer is diethylhexyl (5.3%) or can be dioctylsebacate and the binder is usually polyisobutylene (2.1%). Another plasticizer used is dioctyladipate (DOA). A small amount of SAE 10 non-detergent motor oil (1.6%) is also added.

While previous GTA's have allowed the player to shot specific barrels to cause an explosion, players are now able to pick up gas canisters and place them where they like for some customizable explosions -- in-addition to this, players can use a "Zippo" lighter to light up the gasoline to create some serious damage.
