GUIDE TO APPLICANTS
THE EDUCATION FUND
The EducationFund, formerly the Fraser of Allander Fund, was establishedon 12th October 1966 by Deacon Convener William Leggat Smith and Collector James Whitton of the Trades House of Glasgow.
The trust fund was created for educational purposes and is held primarily for the benefit of the citizens of Greater Glasgow. If you fall out with those parameters you should not submit an application.

Applicants can submit an application form as many times as they wish, although submitting an application is no guarantee of an award being made.
The application form overleaf should be completed paying particular attention to the request for information about how you will use the grant, if awarded.
The Education fund is unable to help with the following:
- Payment of school fees incurred by parental choice of school (e.g. private education)
- Contribution towards post graduate courses unless a college undergraduate undertakes a university degree course
- Course Costs or living expenses for post graduate education
