The Professor Malcolm Millar

Travelling Fellowship

The University of Aberdeen has a system for providing financial support for final year Electives. However, this Fellowship is completely independent and is entirely funded by NHS Grampian in memory of the late Professor Malcolm Millar and is available annually to fund travel, subsistence and other expenses for Electives in the field of Mental Health. Those undertaking Mental Health Electives will only be considered if they make a direct application to the Malcolm Millar Fellowship and this will in no way prejudice the award of other monies. However, it would be important to let the Fellowship Committee know of any other monies awarded. This would not prevent the award of monies from the Malcolm Millar Fellowship, unless the total amount awarded exceeds the actual costs incurred in undertaking the Elective.

Awards are made by a panel nominated by NHS Grampian and decisions take account of previous examination results in Psychiatry.
