12th Annual Bankruptcy Forum

The Lodge at Buckberry Creek

April 17 – 19, 2015 – Gatlinburg, TN

The 12th Annual Tennessee Bar Association Bankruptcy Forum will take place April 17 – April 19, 2015, at the beautiful Lodge at Buckberry Creek in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Please make plans now to join us in this wonderful and relaxing setting for an informative and unique presentation of current issues of interest to a wide variety of bankruptcy attorneys. Ten hours of CLE credit are available for this program, including three hours of ethics. Seating is limited to preserve the unique nature of this seminar.

This high-quality program will begin with presentations on the model Chapter 13 plan, service of process issues, and recent bankruptcy case developments in the Sixth Circuit and around the country. Friday afternoon will conclude with a presentation on mediation in bankruptcy cases. On Saturday, attendees will be organized into small groups with a discussion leader drawn from a faculty of prominent bankruptcy judges. These small group discussions will focus on case problems that bring into focus recent developments in the law and real world problems that bankruptcy practitioners face. Group leaders will encourage the participants to analyze, discuss, and argue different approaches to the case studies. The program closes on Sunday with a three-hour session devoted to the ethical issues that arise in bankruptcy.

This year’s faculty includes four (4) United States Bankruptcy Judges including:

Hon. Suzanne Bauknight (Bankr. E.D. of TN); Hon. Paul Bonapfel (Bankr. N.D. of GA); Hon. Thomas Fulton (Bankr. W.D. of KY); and Hon. Randal Mashburn (Bankr. M.D. of TN). The faculty also includes Laura Ketcham, Michael McCormick, Kara West and Robin White.
