8/31: Red Flag Campaign Phase #1 to begin

·  CLAW and Wellness Programs: Red Flags out on Campus Lawns

·  Leadership Programs: Tie Red Ribbons and/or Flags on trees

October 2009

10/1: Safety Walk

·  8 pm, UC, Sponsored by University Police Department and Women’s Center

10/12-10/14: “A Call To Men” Program Training, Sponsored by REACH of Jackson Co., WCU Department of Social Work, and Women’s Center

·  October 12th, 2009: 4-6pm – Meeting of the Action Committee. This committee will begin building a strategic action plan which will involve the community and the university.

·  October 13th, 2009: 9am – 12pm – Domestic and Sexual Violence Training. This morning session will be open to local service providers and the general community. 12 – 1pm – Lunch. 1-2pm – Men’s Mentorship Group. 2-4pm – Cultural Diversity Training. (Action Committee members should attend this training.) 7-9pm – Domestic and Sexual Violence Training. This evening session will be open to WCU students and the general community.

·  October 14th, 2009: 9-12pm - Debriefing session of the Action Committee.

10/26: “Debunking the ‘Mean Girls’ Myth” workshop focusing on red flags for unhealthy relationships (relational aggression).
